One of our lovely clients, based in Barnsley, are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team in South Yorkshire on a permanent basis. You would be expected to carry out all veterinary nursing duties according to the standards and policies of this practice and the RCVS, contributing to high quality animal care.
You would be joining an excellent team who are dedicated to providing the best possible veterinary care for their clients and their pet. Boasting state-of-the-art facilities including two operating theatres and a dedicated dental suite.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting the Veterinary Surgeons where needed
Undertake nursing duties including; theatre, laboratory, radiography, ward and euthanasia duties
Deliver nurse consultations
Attend monthly Clinic Staff Meetings
Pricing up routine procedures; ordering stock and consumables
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe practice / building
Providing advice and guidance on preventative and ongoing treatments for pets
Monitor patients, providing the correct standard of nursing care
Compete CPD requirements
Maintain accurate clinical records
Dispersing medication as applicable
Reporting of any damage
Assist Senior Veterinary Nurse in daily / weekly / monthly tasks
Undertake night duties
Follow Practice Protocol and Standard Operating Procedures
Follow health and safety guidelines
Reception duties (booking appointments, processing payments, answering telephone calls)
Undertake any other duties as required
Responsibilities as Clinical Coach:
At least 2 days with each student per week
Weekly tutorials and time allocated to discuss NPL and set targets etc.
Allocated observation time daily
This role is based in a fast-paced environment. Hours will be undertaken on a rota basis and will include evening and weekend working. When required to sleep in on duty nights, accommodation is provided.
This role is a physically demanding role and will require the individual to be on their feet the majority of the day.
Possible Shift Times
Monday to Friday Shifts: 8am – 4.30pm / 10am – 6.30pm / 11am – 7.30pm (on a rota basis)
Weekend Shifts: 8.30am – 3.30pm
