Veterinary Surgeon | Full or Part Time

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join an independently owned companion animal practice near Chelmsford, Essex. You would join a wonderful team of vets, RVNs, trainee nurses, VCAs, receptionists and admin staff.

We are looking for a progressive, friendly, caring, communicative, team player assistant to complement the 9-vet team (making it up to 10 again), that wants to offer an outstanding service to patients and clients.

The Role

• 15-minute appointments
• Weekend work – 2 weekends in every 8 weeks, with days off in lieu
• Bank holidays are worked on a rota system, averaging 1 day / year, with time of in-lieu
• No OOHs
• 1 evening check per week (only if required)
• Well-organised weekly rota that is available 2 months in advance
• Well-organised weekend rota that is available up to a year in advance

Salary and Benefits

• A salary from £30k-£65k depending on experience, based on a 40-hour week

This could suit an experienced new grad, but ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience is required.
