We are looking for a veterinary nurse to join a friendly and supportive clinical team in Dingwall. Full or part-applicants welcome!

A full-time position with a 40 hour week, working hours will be a shift pattern consisting of an 8 hour working day, Monday to Friday between 8am-8pm plus 1:6 Saturday mornings, 8am – 4pm on a TOIL basis. There are no OOH shifts or Sundays. The role will involve working between two main practices, with the occasional opportunity to work in  picturesque, smaller consulting branches. Nurses are involved with, consulting, surgery, diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, anaesthetics and in patient care. Nurses may also be involved with providing support for farm and equine care including xrays and endoscopy.

Recent graduates are very welcome and will be supported in the role, with further training as necessary. Previous experience working in a small animal practice is essential, mixed practice experience is a bonus, especially at lambing time! The ideal candidate would be a Clinical Supervisor but training is available.

We would expect the right candidate to have strong values, good communication skills and be a good team player with a positive attitude that is willing support their colleagues. Personal and clinical development will be supported. The practice proudly supports progression in your clinical interests, supporting in house training and CPD. They have in-house meetings and a regular clinical clubs to share CPD information and develop practice protocols.

Full driving license required.

You would be joining a long established, independent, RCVS accredited mixed practice with a busy, varied & interesting caseload.

They have digital DR xray, video endoscope, multiparameter (including capnography and ECG), hot air warming system, infusion pumps and syringe driver, and are constantly evolving and improving their standards of care.

The clinical team consists of 16 vets, 10 RVNS and 3 SQPs, they are a RCVS approved training practice and currently have several Student Veterinary Nurses at various stages in training across surgeries.

The practice is located in the heart of the Highlands surrounded by beaches, mountains, lochs and forests. All these are easily accessible within a very short journey. Many of the staff enjoy wild swimming, kayaking, skiing, hill walking or cycling, the list is endless. There is also lots of lovely food and craft fairs and festivals.
