New Grad Mixed or LA Vet – Cumbria (KH -23203)

We are looking for a mixed of large animal vet to join a great team in Cumbria.

50% Small Animal, 40% Farm & 10% Equine case load split.

The wonderful team is made up of 9 Vets, 4 RVN’s, 2 SVN’s and 3 ACA’s. Within the team they have two working towards certificates; one in Small Animal Surgery and one CertAVP – Production Animal. There is also another vet with an MSc in Tropical Vet Medicine Epidemiology.

• Year 1 salary of £34,000 increasing to £37,000 in year 2

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 7:00pm. You may also be required to participate in a weekend rota and OOHs on-call rota which will include working on weekends and bank holidays.

There is no on-call for the first month, shadowing back up when ready, then after 3 months you’ll join the on-call rota (with a 2nd Vet backing you up for at least the first year, if not first 2 years until you feel ‘ready’).
