Deputy Head Nurse – Wiltshire (KH-23306)

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a team as a Deputy Head Nurse. The day-to-day duties will be that of a Nurse:

• Assist Vets with their work in theatre including admits, discharges and also with inpatients.
• Ensure the smooth running of the day
• Being clinical lead to ensure procedures are carried out efficiently
• Monitoring of dangerous drugs
• Dealing with queries from staff members
• Holding nurse meetings alongside the head nurse
• Stock management
• Clinical coaching (training can be provided)
• Provide leadership to other members of staff

The rota includes working 5 days Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week with a varied shift pattern. There will be 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and no out of hours.

You will join a team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Nurses and 10 Reception staff.
