OOH Weekend RVN – Northampton

Are you an RVN who enjoys emergency work and are looking for a flexible position to fit around your other commitments?

Are you looking for a new challenge, and would you be looking to work in a brand-new hospital from the first day of opening?

We have a vacancy for OOH shifts every Saturday and Sunday. You would be working alongside with an experienced OOH vet team including 2 ECC certificate holders.

You would be involved in:

• Triage of emergency patients
• Emergency procedures / surgery
• AFAST/TFAST scanning
• In patient monitoring – average 4/5 per shift
• Scrubbing in to assist the vet
• Intensive care of critical patients
• Feeding tube management, chest drain management, opportunity to learn with the vet on shift happy to train in new procedures

The Role

• Competitive salary DOE
• Saturday and Sunday shifts 7pm- 8am available
• Vet and OOH VCA on shift with you for support
• 2 days paid CPD with no financial limit
• Additional certificates and study encouraged and funded
• Occasional shift or locum applications welcome
• Day shifts also available if required for additional experience with the support of large nursing team
