This is a locum position starting on the 8th of October 2024 and ending on the 31th of January 2025, with 6 days per week. Experienced Veterinary Surgeon - Procedures Biased Our client, a well-respected independently owned practice, is looking for an experienced, procedures-biased Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. They seek a surgeon with an interest and previous experience in surgical procedures and ideally some background in sole charge or leadership roles. Key Responsibilities: Covering first opinion and referral care, including medical and surgical cases Advanced diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation Opportunity to grow and master areas of special interest Working Hours: This is a full-time position with: A 4-day week, with 10-hour shifts (various shift times between 7:30am - 8:00pm), totaling 40 hours 1-hour lunch break Equal rota for daytime in-patient care and help with emergencies over weekends and bank holidays 2 days off in lieu of any weekends worked No out-of-hours duties, except as a "last resort" backup to the dedicated emergency team on a rare rota basis Primarily based at the busy branch clinic in Worthing, with potential shifts at hospitals to expand case exposure if needed Benefits: Generously funded CPD (Certificate funding available) Standard pension benefit 40% staff discount for own pets Enhanced parental leave (6 months paid at 90%) Enhanced sickness benefit (2 weeks at 100%) Generous holiday (7 weeks, including bank holidays) Occupational health resources, including mental health support Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience Interested?
