Full-time Vet Surgeon – Permanent – Midlothian

One of our long-standing clients is looking for a Vet to join the practice.

They are a small animal practice. The position is consulting/surgery. It is for part of a 3-vet team. Ideally they are looking for some one who is not a new graduate. However, they are Vet GDP registered for new-grads.

They run a friendly, supportive team for whom collaboration and the sharing of ideas and problem cases is normal practice. The relationship with clients is founded on being friendly and approachable at the same time as providing excellent diagnostics and treatments. To that end our client is well equipped with current plans to extend the premises further later this year.

• Salary starting from £36,000 per annum depending on experience
• 8.30am to 6pm weekdays. 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.30am to 12 noon.
• No on-call
• 1 weekday day off every other week (or paid as extra if worked when other vets on holiday)
• 34 days off per year including bank holidays (the majority of which are taken in lieu)
• CPD up to £1000 per year

• VDS fees paid
• Uniform provided
• Cycle to work scheme if requested
