North Yorkshire – Locum Vet Surgeon required

Our client, based in North Yorkshire, is seeking a Locum Veterinary Surgeon for their team.

• Mixed animal practice
• Ideally full time, although part time hours considered
• 1:4 OOH rota
• Some weekend cover working required
• Immediate or new year start
• No accommodation available
• All candidates must be RCVS registered
• Excellent rate offered

The practice is seeking a locum Vet Surgeon to join their team in North Yorkshire. Ideally, the practise is seeking an individual to work on a full-time basis, although they would consider part-time working. There is an 1:4 on-call/OOH rota and weekends to cover. Large animal work would include: some fertility work on both dairy and beef; sick farm animals; calving and lambing caesareans and prolapses; TB work (where qualified); LDA/RDA ops; other farm ops (eg. fistulas / hernias); castrations / dehorning; small amount of small holding work such as goats / alpacas / pigs; herd / flock health planning visits; some equine work including vaccinations, some first opinion lameness, sick horses, colic’s etc. You will be covering all routine first opinion work including consults and ops. Everyone is usually insured and there is plenty of opportunity to provide the highest level of care to their loyal client base.
