Are you a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity in Penzance? Our clients are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team.
This is a well-established and highly regarded Veterinary practice located in the beautiful coastal town of Penzance. This practice provides a wide range of veterinary services to Mixed Species, Small, Equine and Farm, who pride themselves on delivering exceptional veterinary care.
This is a 40hour week position with a salary of £30,000.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting our Veterinarians in various procedures, including surgeries, dental treatments, and medical examinations.
- Providing compassionate nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing post-operative recovery.
- Conducting diagnostic tests and laboratory work, such as blood sampling, urinalysis, and radiography.
- Educating and advising Pet owners on topics such as nutrition, vaccination, and general healthcare.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all necessary documentation is up to date.
- Collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior veterinary staff.
- A fair share of the OOH Rota
To be considered for the Veterinary Nurse position, you should meet the following requirements:
- Must be a qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Proficient in various Veterinary Nursing techniques, including anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and empathize with pet owners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for providing the highest level of patient care and customer service.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
