Head Nurse – Nottingham

• 1 in 4 weekends
• Starting salary is from £32,000 depending on experience

We’re looking for someone with a good level of clinical experience who is positive, self-motivated, and keen to support the professional development of our client’s RVNs, students and VCAs. The ideal candidate will have the confidence and know-how to introduce new initiatives that will nurture the growth of the practice.

The required working pattern is 5 days a week, working 8/10 hour shifts, 1:4 weekends with time back in lieu for OOH duty night checks.

About The Practice

In this role, you will get to work in our client’s purpose-built, spacious veterinary practice with the most fantastic facilities and a team who are all passionate about providing the very best care to all animals, day and night.

The team currently consists of  6 RVNs and 4 Veterinary Surgeons. They pride ourselves on the training and support they offer to students. They are constantly working on new initiatives to support skill gaps and make sure that CPD is continuous and happening across all levels in the surgery.

Our client’s colleagues have a broad range of specialities and many of the team are working towards certificates to enhance their clinical skills. Currently, there are 2 Vets studying towards certificates in imaging and surgery. The nursing team are friendly and knowledgeable, with a good mix of qualifying years between them.
