Veterinary Surgeon – Aberdeen

You will be working up to 40 hours per week over 4 day rolling rota with flexibility on days worked, however part time hours can be considered. There is no out of hours as this is covered by a neighbouring practice from 7pm Monday – Friday, and 6pm at the weekend.

The weekend rota is 1.5:6 for some inpatient weekend cover and on-call between Saturday (1pm-6pm) and Sunday (8.30am-6pm).

Day-to-day duties include consulting and operating on rota basis. Our client has varied and interesting caseloads from dentistry, dermatology, orthopaedics, internal medicine cases, cardiology as well as neurology cases. You are guaranteed administration time to allow thinking time and research for cases.

There is sole charge branch consulting 1-2 days per week,  operating day once per week and the other days consulting at the main practice.

About The Practice

Our client are a small animal practice with excellent back-of-house facilities offering a high standard of care. Their facilities include an endoscope, digital x-ray, a new ultrasound machine, IV infusion pumps, syringe driver, patient warmers, and a fully equipped lab with a variety of in-house testing. There is a separate dental suite with a dental X-ray and two sterile theatre rooms with multiparameter machines and piped gasses. The patient accommodation consists of a separate dog and cat wards, ICU, and isolation wards.
