Veterinary Surgeon ║ South West London

We have an exciting opportunity for a vet who is looking to inspire the next generation of vet students! Our client – a first opinion small animal teaching hospital based in South West London – are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The Role

• You will be responsible for delivering a highly practical rotation for 6-7 final year vet students at a time, teaching communication and consultation skills
• As a role model for students, excellent communication skills and the ability to provide and receive feedback are essential, as is a strong focus on client service
• You will be demonstrating a high standard of first opinion/accessible care practice to students during their rotation while they are learning hands on “day one skills”
• Teaching experience is not essential for the role but a passion for teaching is
• Support/training will be provided

Hours

• This is a part-time fixed term contract to July 2024 with a view to a permanent role
• You will work Wednesday to Friday, 9-5pm (with another vet covering Monday/Tuesday)
• There is no out of hours or weekend work routinely required for this role

Salary and Benefits

• Salary £37,877 to £48,163 Pro Rata PA, including London Weighting
• A generous reward package is offered
