Our client is looking for a mixed veterinary surgeon who has experience working with both small and equine animals:

• 50/50 Equine and small animal skills.
• Occasional travel between branches
• One week of nights every 10 weeks

• RCVS and VDS cover paidThe practice is a 18 vet predominantly small animal tier 3 hospital. In the hospital they have an excellent set of equipment. These include a DR Xray, scopes of various sizes, tplo saws, large array of orthopedic equipment, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, hydrotherapy. The hospital is staffed 24/7 with qualified RVN’s. The rota ensures maximum work life balance. A week of night duties every 10 weeks means you don’t work the day and allows for a four-day weekend the week after.
  As well as the small animal side there is a growing equine practice.  As with all Islands the occasional farm work is available if wanted and some of the other weird and wonderful pets.

  The position would suit a new/recent graduate as there is always plenty of support, but experienced vets welcome.

  The island itself offers an excellent standard of living with Europe just across the water (when it reopens). Water sports are massive on the island, kayaking, SUP, surfing, fishing, boating, wake boarding etc.

  The rambling itself is also varied by long sandy beaches to coastal green cliffs paths – perfect for walking dogs.
