Temporary Veterinary Surgeon – Newcastle Upon Tyne

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to temporarily join a veterinary practice in Newcastle Upon Tyne .

About The Practice

The practice has a great team of RVNs, SVNs and animal care assistants. A number of our RVNs are trained in schedule 3 procedures, and several are working towards qualifications in behaviour, emergency and critical care, and feline nursing.

You will benefit from working with an experienced team with a wide range of clinical expertise, including surgery, dentistry, medicine and emergency and critical care. They also are fortunate to have a vet with a keen interest in advanced rabbit and other small mammal medicine and surgery.

About The Role

The salary is up £56,000 dependent on experience.

The role comprises a 40-hour week – this is over 4 days, with a set day off each week, and 1 in 6 Saturdays.

The Bank Holiday rota is shared equally (working out at one or two per year), with a day off in lieu for each Bank Holiday worked.

There is no out of hours commitment.

Requirements

The successful candidate would be a veterinary surgeon with enthusiasm and drive who enjoys working as part of a team.

Experienced applicants preferred, but we will consider more recent graduates.

Part time applicants also welcomed.
