Registered Veterinary Nurse | Hertfordshire

We are looking for a registered veterinary nurse to join a friendly and supportive team in Hitchin, on a permanent basis.

This role will offer plenty of scope for professional growth whatever level of previous experience. The position would suit someone who has an interest in nurse consultations, good communication skills and enthusiasm to provide support to clients both in person and over the phone.

Your main duties will include nurse consultations, medical nursing, diagnostics inc. radiography and laboratory work, anaesthesia, and inpatient care; in addition to assisting veterinary surgeons during procedures and consultations/visits. Nurses will have responsibility for a set task area each day: theatre, inpatient, duty, consulting but the teamwork together to cover all aspects and care provision.

The Role

• Registered Veterinary Nurse – full-time permanent position
• 40 hours over 5 days per week and a share of the Saturday rota
• Depending on your allocated task area you will start anytime from 7:30am with inpatients and admits to 10:00am for as part of the ‘late’ team; the duty shift starts at 4:00pm and works through until 10pm (no phones)
