We currently have a very exciting opportunity for a Dog Trainer / Kennel Assistant to join our clients practice in the Middle East (Kuwait).
The role will be based at a prestigious Small animal and Exotic Hospital, with all the latest equiptment and purpose built facilities.
A dog trainer / kennel assistant will be responsible for ensuring and assisting of the daily care, feeding and exercise of all boarding pets. They must pay close attention to pets' status: such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying management and/or Drs when a pet needs medical attention.
Assisting the technicians and doctors is required, which includes animal restraint, assisting in treatments and client service. The trainer adapts to each dog and their owner's needs through a combination of desensitization, operant conditioning, and positive reinforcement. You must be fluent in training lingo yet still be able to translate that into a conversation the owner can understand.
A Dog Trainer & Kennel Attendant also interacts with clients in person.
Proper record documentation and accurate completion of boarding paperwork is critical. They must pay close attention to details, understand, and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures and monitor boarding pets. A kennel attendant is also responsible for all boarding facility maintenance and cleanliness.
** Salary: Euro 16,000 - 25,000 per annum
** Housing + Transport is provided (Approx Euro 11,000 per annum)
** Economy return trip to Middle East - a country of Nationality - Kuwait: 1 Flight per year
** Working Hours: 4 days per week, 10 hrs per day. 1 Day per week, 8 hours, 2 days per week, off.
** Public Holidays: 13 days' Public Holiday per year - these will either be granted off or paid official holiday overtime if required for duty.
** Annual Leave: 30 days of annual vacation per year.
