Rapidly expanding group of practices will be opening a new facility in Doncaster and are seeking experienced Vets to become part of their new team.

This is a fantastic opportunity with the chance for unparalleled career development. The group are developing new roles all the time, most recently a new Head of Surgery role. Their vision is for the Student Nurses and Vet Interns of today to be Head Nurses and Clinical Directors of new clinics in a few years' time.

Operating a walk-in structure to clients, the practice will be open 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week, offering a full service including orthopaedics.

Priding themselves on a ‘Culture of Diagnostics' their vets do what is best for each specific animal. Their internal expertise includes 4 surgical certificate holders and an internal medic to support the high-quality ethos. They are working to develop an Internal Referral Network to create a comprehensive diagnostic service in every clinic with multi-vet teams. This includes but is not limited to orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, imaging and radiology and consultation technique. A diverse medical caseload is guaranteed.

There is strong encouragement of certificate enrolment by providing CPD days and funding as well as offering £5,000 extra base salary for certificate holders.

Full day rotas are 8am – 4pm or 11am – 8pm so you have the morning or evening to yourself. Teams do 1 in 4 weekends, with two days off after working a weekend. Overall this averages a 38-hour week. The rotas are fair: 8 hours a day and no on-call duties. And if you're part time, shifts and days are flexible to work with you.

The clinic will be huge, brand new, and designed specially to create the best environment to practice great veterinary care. There will be 6-8 consultation rooms (one dedicated just for cats), a large prep area, 3 operating theatres, separate dental suite, separate in-house Idexx lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, separate dog and cat recovery wards, and walk-in isolation. Plus, a comfy staff room where everyone enjoys a free lunch together each Friday.

There is a generous pension scheme, RCVS registration fees, VDS cover and income protection for Vets.

If you are interested in this opportunity please send your CV or call Gareth Jackson on 01291 645871 / gjackson@glvets.com. As a Senior Consultant specialising in Permanent placements of high standard Vets and Nurses I offer a caring and understanding professional service.
